*Senator Kaita accuses APC of using State funds on its guber candidate

Over forty seven thousand members of the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) and other Parties in Katsina state have decamped to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Daura and Mai’adua local government areas of state
The PDP announced in a statement by a member of the party’s 2023 campaign council, Alhaji Habibu Bello, while rounding up its campaign tour of Daura Emirate warn the state APC government against using public funds for campaign.
Alhaji Habibu Bello disclosed that, the Katsina State PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke while in Daura where he was welcomed by a jubilant crowd, promised farmers in the state of sufficient fertilizer at a subsidized rate, if elected governor.
Alhaji Habibu said Senator Yakubu Danmarke also pledged to provide free primary and secondary education to restore its lost glory in Katsina State.
He explained that, the PDP Governorship Candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke who lamented the deteriorating state of insecurity and economic backwardness which brought the Socio-economic well-being of the masses to a standstill, assured to bring the situation under control.
Accordingly, he said, the Chairman of the campaign council Senator Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, said the PDP if given the mandate at the National and state levels, would transform all developmental aspects from their current predicament.
Alhaji Habibu Bello reiterated that, the Director General of the Council Dr.Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa warned the electorate against compromising their Permanent Voter Card for token monetary gains.
Also speaking, the Senatorial Candidate of the PDP for Daura zone, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, accused the state APC Government of using public funds to campaign for the party’s governorship candidate, warning that the act would not go unchecked.
However, the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Magaji Danbachi, welcomed over 27 thousand decampees to the party in Daura local government area
“A day earlier, PDP had while on a campaign tour of Mai’adua LGA,received about 30 thousand decampees from the ruling APC and other parties,” Alhaji Habibu Bello emphasized.
