Over 30 Schools For 6th YSFON/CFSAF Kaduna Athletics Championship

No fewer than  30 public and private schools in Kaduna State  will be participating in this year’s edition of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON)/Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation (CFASF) Kaduna School Athletics Championship. 

This was disclosed yesterday by the founder and CEO CFASF, Coach Felix Oseibe.

According to him,  also, there are schools that have  already indicated interest to participate from neighbouring states like Abuja and Jos.

“We are getting ready for the biggest school athletics event in the North, Nigeria: #KadunaSchoolAthleticsChampionship2023

“The Kaduna School Athletics Championship is an annual sports festival that is proudly hosted by Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation in partnership with the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria,  targeted at school students,” he said.

According to him,  part of CFASF objectives include; “To enhance the level of performance of talented athletes and increase the rate of sports development in the region”. 

“Since  the inception of the Kaduna School Athletics Championship in 2016, we have been awed by the number of grassroots sports talents we have been able to impact, groom and prepare for the global stage. 

“At this year’s edition again, we plan to make national stars out of local talented athletes by providing a platform for them to hone and showcase their athletic abilities,” he assured.

Speaking further, he said the meet will afford  young sport champions to contend for mouth-watering prizes,  with this year,  not going to be an exception.

“We are ready to set another track record with our sponsors at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium from 14 to 15 July, 2022.

Coach Felix said that the epoch event is being supported by Chima Nnadozie CEO Micromanna Computer, Eng. Musa Nimrod President Nigerian Volleyball Federation and  Samuel Onikeku Technical Director Athletics Federation of Nigeria.

It was gathered that ahead of the meet, a technical meeting was held on Saturday July 8,  2023 at the Media Centre Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna. 

It was further gathered that he following schools have so far, indicated interest to participate.

2. Faith Academy Barnawa,

3. Demonstration College, Sabon Tasha

4. The Cavendish College, Ugwan Rimi

5. Nigeria Military School, Zaria

6. Command Secondary School, Sabo

7. Model Learning School, Zaria

8. Air Force Secondary School, Mando

9. Divine Progress School, Barnawa 

10. Danbo International School, Barnawa

11. Dubai Care School, Tudun Wada

12. Amstrong School Kudenda

13.  St. Micheal Catholic College, Kaduna

14.  GSSS Sabon-Tasha

15. Essence International School, Ugwan Rimi

16.  Redeemer’s College, Karji

17. Learner’s International School, Narayi

18. Jupavi School, Kakuri
