Dear Sir,

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to you and the people of Nigeria for the tragic loss of lives in the recent Kwara State Boat Mishap. The loss of innocent lives is always a tragedy and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected.

As you are aware, the National Inland Water Ways Authority (NIWA) is responsible for regulating and managing Nigeria’s inland waterways. But alas, the Director General, Dr. George Moghalu, had focus his attention on working for cabals (In the past government, anti party affairs)that are using the agency as a place to be milking and also victimizing staff that seems to be supporters of APC and Asiwaju”I will never be a party to muslim/muslim ticket”before the election, rather than fulfilling his duties as outlined in the NIWA ACT CAP N47 LFN 2004.

However, his lack of competence has had a significant effect on the Agency and the national economy, his unpatriotic stewardship of the NIWA has led to a lack of proper regulation and safety standards, which has resulted in numerous accidents and loss of lives to both civilians and NIWA Police. The recent Kwara State Boat Mishap is just one example of the consequences of his incompetence.

As a result, we strongly believe that Dr. George Moghalu should be held accountable for his actions and the impact they have had on the NIWA and the Nigerian people. It is our sincere hope that Mr. President would investigate the corrupt practices engaged by the DG with his allies and steps up to ensure that such tragedies do not occur again in the future,

In light of neglecting his primary roles and obvious corrupt tendencies, we strongly recommend that he should be suspended from his position for a thorough investigation, we urge His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take swift action to hold anyone responsible in sabotaging the government efforts accountable for their actions and ensure that the NIWA is properly managed in accordance with its mandate.

Thank you Sir for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Hamisu Audu on behalf of

ASIWAJU WHISTLEBLOWERS
