Ongoing FG Projects In Katsina Would Be Completed, Buhari Assures

President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed commitment to complete  on-going federal government projects in Katsina State.

President Muhammadu Buhari disclosed this when the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman hosted him on a Sallah Homage at his palace.

On his part, Governor Aminu Bello Masari said the proposed Cancer Research Centre in Katsina was now awaiting the approval of the Federal Executive Council.

Governor Aminu Masari called for more prayers on security challenges affecting the state, the country and the African Sub-region.

The Governor commiserated with family of late Area Commander in charge of Dutsinma and the Police authority who sacrifice their lives to make the country safe.

Earlier, the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman complained to the President on the sudden withdrawal of the working equipment by the contractor handling Katsina – Kano road, abandoning of the Kano-Daura-Katsina rail lines and the Lambar Rimi Wind Mill Power Projects.

He said this was in addition to the Cancer Research Centre proposed tor establishment in the state.

Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman pleaded with the President to act promptly in ensuring the actualization of the project considering their advantages in improving the socio economic well being of the entire citizens.

The Emir however, appreciated the President for granting approval that led to the conversion of the Federal Medical Centre Katsina to a Federal Teaching Hospital.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has left Katsina for Abuja  after the Sallah Break he spent in his home town Daura.

The Presidential Jet boarded by the President took off from the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport Katsina at 12:37 pm on Saturday afternoon.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari, his Deputy Alhaji Mannir Yakubu and the House Leader of Katsina State House of Assembly were at the Airport to bid farewell to the President.

Prior to his departure, combined military personnel and the police on ceremonial dress mounted guard of honour to the president before living for Abuja.
