Ondo AD Celebrates Oke’s Exit From Party

The Alliance for Democracy (AD), in Ondo State, is celebrating Chief Olusola Oke SAN’s exit for decamping to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying it is good for him.

The Secretary of AD in the state, Dr. Shola Agboola in a release which he signed and made a available to journalists in Akure said, members exchanged pleasantries at their last meeting as they rejoiced with one another at Oke’s exit.
Agboola how ever described the defection of Chief Oke as ” a mere mole that gathers no moss, a substance of no remedy which should be left without regards”.
According to the statement, the Leader of the party, Dr. Akin Olowookere has urged members to strategies for future elections saying, God will continue to rid the party of agents of destabilisation.
 Since Chief Oke has finally crossed to APC, he said, he must had accomplished the purpose of destabilising the party structure in the state.
While assuring the electorates that with or without Oke, he said,  AD is still holding its grips and will remain a party to beat in the future elections.
In his own reaction, the state Acting Chairman of the party, Pastor Fred Arotiba remarked that Chief Oke has never been an asset to the party since he joined.
He how ever urged Chief Oke to be patient and study the political terrain before jumping from one party to another in future.
He enjoined all aggrieved and those disenchanted members by the development not to loose  hope but rather win more members since politics is a game of number.
