On Masari’s Invitation, Zulum Opens Road, School In Katsina

On the invitation of Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Saturday, commissioned a road network and secondary school in Malumfashi, Katsina State.

During the visit, Zulum commissioned the 28 km Dayi-Tuge -Wawarkaza road project and Government Day Junior Secondary School, Gora/Yammama both constructed by the Masari administration.

Zulum paid tributes to Governor Masari for the successes achieved during his tenure, particularly in the education sector.

The Borno Governor noted that investment in education led to the increasing enrollment of students across Katsina State as well as performances in WAEC and NECO examinations.

Zulum called on residents to continually allow their children attend schools especially those living in rural communities.

Speaking earlier, Governor Masari gave a brief countdown of his administration’s achievements in the education sector.

He listed the construction of new schools, disbursement of scholarship allowances to students, and payment of examination fees for Katsina indigenes at various secondary schools among others.

Zulum was accompanied on the visit by All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Borno State, Ali Bukar Dalori, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, Barrister Mohammed Tahir Monguno, and House of Reps-elect, Engr Bukar Talba.

Others were the Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Abdulkarim Lawan, Leader of the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Dige Mohammed, former Commissioner of Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Pogu Chibok and the immediate past Special Adviser on Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Abba Kawu Shehu Abubakar.

Zulum returned to Maiduguri the same day he visited Katsina to honour Masari’s commissioning invitation.
