Dear esteemed Open Government Partnership (OGP) community and members of the Strengthening Social Protection Systems, Kaduna State Technical Working Group,
I am honoured and humbled to address you not just as the newly selected Co-chair of our esteemed Technical Working Group but as your younger sister who strongly believes that everyone deserves to live a life of dignity.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely commend the admirable effort of my capable seniors, Ola Simeon, Alheri Waje and Babagida Garba, for their spirited contest. I recognize and commend your passion for social protection, and I earnestly appeal for your invaluable support and mentorship as we work together to achieve our shared goals of Strengthening Social Protection System in Kaduna state. Please, I extend my hands of fellowship, consider me as your younger sister that desperately needs your guidance.
As we embark on this difficult but necessary journey, I seek the collective support of each member of the TWG and entire OGP community. Our commitment to improving social protection systems is not just a professional responsibility but a moral obligation towards meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable citizens of Kaduna State. My promise to you is to create an atmosphere of inclusivity, transparency, consultation, collaboration, responsiveness and accountability in ensuring that every voice is not only heard, but valued and every member becomes an integral part of our shared success.
Together, we hold the power to make a lasting impact on the lives of those less fortunate in our community. While I understand that my emergence may not please everyone, but for the greater good, I humbly appeal for your cooperation, guidance, and support throughout my tenure. Together, let us work tirelessly to deliver on our commitment for the betterment of the poor, vulnerable and the overall well-being of the citizens of Kaduna State.
To deliver on our targeted milestones, I also look forward to working more closely with platforms like KADSPAC, KAD-LGAM, which have established a robust foundation for an effective bottom-up social accountability mechanism within the social protection system in the State.
Thank you all for your unwavering dedication to this noble cause. I am confident that, through our collective efforts, we will leave a lasting impact and further elevate Kaduna as a beacon on the global OGP map.
