Tragedy struck along Ayanyan area of Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Saturday night as four travelers met their untimely death in a motor accident.
New Nigerian learnt that in the accident, two other travelers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso for treatment.
The accident according to sources, occurred at about 10.30pm, involving a Toyota Sienna and a trailer.
It was gathered that trouble started when the driver of the Toyota Sienna said to be traveling at a neck breaking speed lost control and rammed into the trailer coming on the other side of the road .
As a result of the collision, four of the travelers in the Toyota Sienna were said to have died on the spot with the two others sustaining various degrees of injuries.
The two travelers according to sources were immediately rushed to Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso for medical attention.
Speaking on the accident on Sunday, the Executive Chairman of Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA), Mogaji Akin Fagbemi confirmed the death of the four persons.
Mogaji Fagbemi stated that the remains of the four persons have been taken to the morgue while those injured are receiving treatment at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso.
