Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that the administration of Buhari was on the right track even though more needed to be done on the economic sector.
He denied ever expressing disappointment over the administration of Buhari as allegedly reported by the media.
He said this while fielding questions from newsmen in Jalingo, Friday.
Chief Obasanjo also lauded Buhari for attaching the required importance to the Mambilla hyro power project in Taraba State.
He said he did his best to kick start the project but his successor neglected the project.
The former president said the Mambilla power project was capable of generating between 2000 to 3000mw of electricity which is about 50 per cent of the total electricity need of the country.
Chief Obasanjo also called for the shift from dependence on oil to agricultural sector to diversify Nigeria’s mono economy.
He said the need to give more attention to agriculture was the only option in the face of dwindling economic fortunes which came as a result of falling oil price.
He stressed the need for Nigerian to embrace agriculture for wealth creation.
He also called on President Buhari to give the sector the desired attention with a view to boost revenue generation away from oil.
