NYSC: Don’t Abandon Skills Acquired During SAED Training, Nzoka Urges Taraba Corps Members

The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Taraba State, Mr. Anthony Nzoka has described the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training as the only programme that Corps Members are doing for themselves during their service year but the rest are for the government.
 He made the statement during the closing ceremony of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) exhibition programme for the 2021 NYSC Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course held at the Orientation Camp Sibre, Ardo Kola Local Government Area of the state.
He charged Corps Members not to abandon the skill acquired during the SAED programme, but utilize it for them to become successful in the future.
The State Coordinator also enjoined them to go and register with a reputable professional training center when they are out of the camp to enable them to perfect the skills they have learned and turn them into wealth.
According to him, the aim of the SAED program is equip the corps members with skills that will make them self reliance by creating wealth for themselves that will contribute to the economic growth of the nation.
At the beat making stand, Mr. Nzoka said: This is marvelously, all of you have done well and I targeted five years to come for all of you will become millionaires if you take advantage of this opportunity of the skills you have acquired by improving on it,” said Nzoka.
“With what I have seen today, the talent you have exhibited, I believe very soon Nigeria will not depend on any country on what it eats or wears and I want to see you become employers of labour” Nzoka expressed optimism.
Mr. Anthony Nzoka however, on behalf of the Corps Members thanked the NYSC Management under the leadership of the Director-General, Brigadier Shu’aibu Ibrahim for the resource committed to the success of the program as well as the federal government for its determination of transforming the lives of the Nigerians youth through the scheme. 
Speaking on behalf of the trainers, Miss Akape Nagaiya reaffirmed their commitment to improving on mentoring the next batch of the corps members and commended the trainees for being committed and passionate about learning the skills during the training.
Some of the corps members who spoke to journalists Effiom Atim and Blessing Philemon all appreciated the NYSC for the opportunity provided to them and promised to utilize it as well as step down the skills to their various communities, saying that” This SAED program has impacted so much in our lives, and we also thanked our trainers for their resilience.
Meanwhile, platoon number 8 became 1st position in fashion and design, while platoon number 9 took the 1st position on beet making as declared by the Chief Judge of the exhibition competition, Comrade Shehu Dogo.
