The Annual fishing festivals at Nwunyo Ibbi Local Government Area of Taraba State was colourful and graced by many prominent personalities across Nigeria and some neighbouring countries.
The Nwunyo Fishing Festival which is the second of its kind after Argungu in Kebbi State, was well organised and witnessed by important dignitaries which also indicated that the nest occassion would be more colourful subsequently.
Commenting on the ceremony, the national president of the APC Initiative For Good Governance (APC-IGG), Ambassador Musa Mohammed Tsoken, who ably represented the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, described the occasion as “Grand fishing festival” across Nwunyo.
Ambassador Tsoken said that, “this occasion was planned by those who know, and from what I have seen, in the near future, Nwunyo fishing festival would become more exemplary because the place is a real tourism attraction.
While the SGF Senator Dr. George Akume, the extended his sincere greetings to the organisers, Nwunyo community leaders and participants for the success of the occasion, Ambassador Musa Tsoken urged Nigeria’s citizens to expect better Nigeria through President Tinubu/Kashim Shettima’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
