The Concerned Northern All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Forum, yesterday in a meeting of its executive and stakeholders held in Kano, called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stakeholders of the party to do all within their powers, to ensure that a former Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara is brought back to its fold.
Speaking, Hon. Suleiman Liba who is the Chairman of the group stressed that every aggrieved member of the party who left for one reasons or the other, should be approached to mend broken fence.
Hon. Liba was particular about Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, stating that he has contributed immensely to the progress of the APC and should not just be overlooked, as they believe that the former Speaker still has a lot to offer the APC in forging ahead.
Hon. Suleiman Liba also argued that Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara also covers the interest of the minority North-East Christians and will always balance the book in terms of equity and fairness.
“Electioneering is now, over, the time for the party to start mending fences and repairing sour relationships is now.
“We will always support the decision of the party at all times, just as we also call on the party to also pay attention to us whenever an observation is raised.
“We acknowledged Mr President’s effort so far in trying to ensure that the party remain one indivisible entity.
“We congratulate the new exco members of our dear party,” the group said.
