NMS wins North West Scrabbles Competition
The Nigerian Military School (NMS), Zaria has emerged the champion of the North West Secondary Schools Scrabbles competition with 317 points.
Turkish International Secondary School, Kaduna came second with 266 points while Christ Ambassador Secondary School, Kaduna came third with 199 points.
The competition organised by the Nigerian Scrabbles Federation, North West Zone was hosted by Dambo International Secondary School Kaduna.
According to the release signed by Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Captain Ayeni, the competition was divided into two categories of single pairing and double pairing.
Receiving the trophy from the team Coach, Lieutenant E. C. Opumie, the Commandant Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Brigadier General J. A. Fayehun charged the team not to relent on the success as a serious challenge awaits when the time come to retain the trophy in the 2016 edition.
General Fayehun congratulated the team and officials for making NMS proud in the sporting circles and assured them of his total support.
