Nigerian Women Need More Recognition From All Tiers Of Government – APC Stalwart

An APC stalwart from Dambatta Local Government Area, Hajiya Alpha Abdu Usman Dambatta has called on the three tiers of government to give more priority to women in their domains to become self-reliant at both rural and urban areas.
She made the call in an interview with our correspondent at the end of a one-day workshop organised for women associations in Kano, adding that women are the pillars of development  especially now that democracy is practiced with women’s votes  becoming  more valuable during elections.
Hajiya Alpha who is also the leader of the coalition of over one hundred and fifty women associations in Dambatta Local Government Area, opined  that empowering women aids national development in every sector, urging the tiers of government to establish more ways of assisting women and children in order to serve as an incentive for their contributions towards the betterment of the country.
She also thanked the wife of the President, Hajiya A’isha Muhammadu Buhari for initiating many great programmes  that are beneficial  to the Nigerian women and children under the “Future Assured” project, where she called on the beneficiaries to use the gesture to make life more important to their families as contained in the programme’s vision.
Similarly, Hajiya Dambatta commended the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his government for initiating many programmes that open windows of opportunities for self-reliance and economic progress of the state’s women through various skills acquisation programmes at all the 44 local government areas of the state as seen everywhere.
“I also wish to thank the wife of the governor, Hajiya Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Gaduje for her untiring efforts towards the betterment of our women gender in the state and we would never forget  Kano State accountant-general and the  commissioner of women affairs for the assistance they always rendered to women associations in the state in order to be more resourceful in the societies,” she emphasized.
