Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on the eve of New Year, was thrown into confusion as residents came out to rescue victims involved in a fatal accident that resulted to loss of lives.
According to an eye witness at the scene of the accident which occurred on Friday evening dated December 31, 2021 at Mando Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State, it happened along Mando Road, popularly known as Engineer Bus Stop, where several passengers board vehicles for easy transportation.
He said, the 10-seater commercial bus conveying passengers from Kawo to Mando was on high speed while attempting to overtake a trailer loaded with containers which led to a fatal accident that many lives are feared dead.
However, at the time of filling this report, there was no official details of the actual number of lives that were lost.
Sympathizers volunteered to pick the body parts of the affected passengers littered around.
It seemed that the driver and the two passengers sitting at the front lost their lives instantly, while motorists where diverting to the other lane due to the obstruction.
