NCISGBS Elects South/West Officers

The National Coalition of Independent Support Groups for BAT and Shetima, (NCISGBS), South West Zone has elected officers into some positions of authority to run the affairs of the group ahead of the next year general elections.

A statement by the Secretary General of NCISGBS (National), Hon. ‘Wale Fasade, shortly after an online meeting of the group held on 18th December, 2022, said the election was not done on the basis of entitlement mentality, citizenship nor indigeneship, but on the basis of the number of support groups registered on their platform.

Elder Femi Awe emerged  the Zonal Chairman, while Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim was elected as the Zonal Vice Chairman. 

The General Secretary is Mr. Kayode Adeniran, while the post of Assistant General Secretary was inconclusive, with one of the three positions ceded to Ogun State. 

Hon. Alo Adenike, got the position of Treasurer, while Hon. Agiri Olanrewaju was elected as the Publicity Secretary.

Other positions filled are, Director Finance, and Logistics, Hon. Taofeek Balogun, Women Leader, Hon. Fausat Hammed-Yusuf, Organising Secretary, Hon Shittu Adewunmi, while Zonal Welfare Officer and the Assistant Organising Secretary are inconclusive as well, as a result of Ogun State’s lack of readiness for the elections.

The position of the Legal Adviser was reserved for a legal practitioner from any South West State, while the Assistant Legal Officer was ceded for Ondo State.

 The new Zonal Auditor is Hon. Adeshina Lawal Subur and the position of Assistant Zonal Auditor was also ceded to Ekiti State, while Hon. Ologundudu Shittu has emerged as the Zonal Youth Leader and the position of Financial Secretary was won by Hon. Lebi Ijisemi  

Hon. Wale Fasade in his remarks after the exercise thanked all while expressing his deep appreciation to all the chieftains of group from the South West who participated in the electoral process.

“I give you all thumps up for a job well done. I thank you all for your time, energy and commitment. I pray we shall not do it in vain by the grace of God”, said the National General Scribe of NCISGBS.
