NASC Advises Seeds Companies To Move Closer To Farmers

The Regional Director, National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) Alhaji Abdul Danlami Abdul has advised seeds companies to move closer to  farmers for easy marketing of their products.
Abdul gave the advise during an interactive session with journalists in Zaria on how best seeds companies can market their products to the farmers at the grassroots level.
He also advised farmers to always purchase their seeds from a highly rated and license seed companies to avoid buying adulterated seeds.
The Zonal Director said, quality seeds will contribute towards meeting the Federal Government’s mission on food security.
According to him, the Federal Government has issued License to over 400 seeds companies for mass  production.
Danlami Abdul used the meeting to send a strong warning to seeds adulterators to stop doing their evil act or or else the law will work on them.
He said if government supports seeds companies and farmers the nation economy will progress accordingly.
The director reminded farmers that their is no period that farmer is set to rest instead farming is a year all round activities.
