The battle line has been drawn  between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sanator Abdullahi Adamu and   Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, following the outcome of the last Saturday’s general elections.

The outcome of the result which favoured the Social Democratic Party (SDP) senatorial candidate, Honourable Aliyu Wadada, has pointed accusing fingers  at Governor Sule for the defeat of the APC’s candidate for Nasarawa West District, Architect Shehu Ahmad Tukur.

A top government official and member of the State Executive Council had alleged that the Governor bankrolled the Senator-Elect, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) to defeat Tukur, the preferred candidate of former Governor and National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

The top official who spoke under condition of anonymity, said contract worth millions of Naira were awarded to Wadada’s family member to help foot the campaign expenses among others.

He also alleged that Governor Sule had instructed his aides and associates in the district to work for the victory of the SDP’s Wadada.

He described the defeat of APC as a disgrace targeted at Senator Adamu popularly known as Maye (Witch) and urged the governor to sit up or risk losing reelection.

The governing party also lost the Nasarawa North and Nasarawa South senatorial seats to the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) respectively.

Meanwhile, Senator Adamu had allegedly  threatened to deny Governor Sule second term if his preferred choice, Architect Tukur fails to win the election.
