An officer of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Mr Lyon Emmanuel Jamu has been honoured with  the prestigious title of ‘Asiwaju of Yoruba Youth’.

The national body of Yoruba Youth Council conferred the title at an event on Sunday in Abuja.

This, according to them, is in recognition of his “impeccable, noteworthy and outstanding humanitarian services, consistent contributions to national security, high level of humanity and open-door policy, philanthropic, unequal love to mankind and particularly youth-friendly gestures”.

In his acceptance speech, Jamu thanked the members and leadership of the pan-Yoruba group for finding him worthy of the prestigious title.

He assured that the title would spur him to give more in service to Nigeria and humanity at large.

Jamu who also holds the traditional title of Ajiyan Buh is from Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
