An aspirant to the seat of the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru. Federal Constituency in Imo State, Dan Chibuzor Iwuorie, has said that his intention to contest for the seat of the Federal Constituency, is to empower the unemployed youths and less privileged women in the constituency.

Addressing Members of the Mbaitolu Practicing Journalists Association, over the weekend in his country home at Ogwa in the Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State, Iwuorie noted that the government of the day has not done enough to empower the teeming unemployed youth in the country.

According to him, this situation could be attributed to the present state of restiveness of the unemployed young people, pointing out that to remedy the situation, he would use what he gets as a federal legislator to take care of the youth.

He said, the he contested for this seet in the last election and expressed optimism that he would win the election this time around.

The aspirant further said that apart from the empowerment programme, he would initiate people oriented laws that would open up the constituency for more development.

He said that he was yet to join a platform under which he would contest the election, though a lot of political parties have approached him to join them.
