Masari Receives Report Of Commission Investigating Banditry On Bakori/Kankara

Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has received the report of the white paper drafting committee on the report of the judicial commission of enquiry that investigated the Bakori/Kankara banditry attack leading to the loss of innocent lives.

In an address at the presentation of the report, Governor Aminu Masari assured that Government would carefully study the report and implement it as much as possible.

 According to him, the State Government would advise sister States sharing similar security challenges on areas of recommendations that could be of importance to them.

He said copy of the report would be forwarded to the Federal Government through relevant establishment in the State.

Alhaji Aminu Masari said his administration is seriously concerned with what is happening in the State and the entire North with regard to the activities of bandits now transformed into full scale criminals.

Earlier, the Chairman of the White Paper Drafting Committee who is also the Head of the State Civil Service Alhaji Idris Usman Tune said all the recommendations of the committee were made with due regard to relevant laws, extant rules and regulations governing the conduct of affairs in public service. 

The Committee Chairman hoped that the recommendations would go a long way in further propelling the determination of the State Government aimed at bringing lasting solution to the current banditry problem bedeviling not only Katsina State  the North-West and some states in the North Central.
