A traditional title holder in Zazzau Emirate, the Mayanan Tudun Wada Zazzau, Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya Kwaros has called on government to make farming lucrative and involve the youths in its farming programme aimed at improving the socio-economic growth of our country.
He made the call while fielding questions from newsmen in Zaria, on how Nigerian youths will be involved in the economic development of Nigeria as the only source has become low revenue to the nation.
Alhaji Yusuf said, Nigeria has been blessed with human and mineral resources whichhas been neglected by previous administration, and now must revisit those areas particularly the agriculture sector.
According to him, if Nigerian youths mostly the graduate can be empowered to participate in mechanized farming, Nigeria will become economically independent not depend on foreign support.
“There are many developed countries who do not have any resources that they can boost their economy but through agriculture, they become a super power nation in the world” he stressed.
The traditional title holder advised youths to wake up from their sleep and engage themselves into agricultural business instead of waiting for white colour job which will not be favourable in the future.
On the peaceful conduct of the Sallah festival in Zazzau Emirate, Allhaji Yusuf Yahaya Kwaros congratulated the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, the Kaduna State Government and the entire Muslim community for the success recorded.
He said Emir Idris has been preaching peaceful co-existence between the different diverse and ethnic groups which has always worked due to his leadership qualities he is exhibiting as a Monarch.
The Mayanan Tudun Wadan Zazzau prayed to Allah to continue blessing the Zazzau Emirate, Kaduna State and Nigeria in general with peace, unity and tolerance among the citizens.
