Lagos NURTW Boss Becomes Ambassador Of War Against Drug Abuse, Trafficking

Efforts against drug abuse and illicit trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has further received a boost with a pledge by the chairman of the Lagos chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya to support the crusade.
Akinsanya, (a.k.a MC Olumo) made the pledge during a courtesy call in his office by the NDLEA Lagos State Commander, Barr. Callys Alumona and some of his management team, where he (Akinsanya) appointed as one of the Ambassadors of War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) and decorated with the lapel.
Addressing Akinsanya and his executive members, Barr. Alumona inform them that they are critical in the war because they are social contractors in term of transport of human being, goods and srevices across the country.

The State Commander enjoined them to always be mindful of what they carry in their vehicles, noting that drug traffickers mostly use commercial vehicles to transport the  illicit goods across the country and even beyond. 
Alumona, who acknowledged past efforts of the Union, appealed for further cooperation and robost relationship in this regard.
This was contained in a release by the media officer of  Mallum Musa,  NDLEA Lagos State Command Mallum Musa made available to journalists.
According to the release,  Alhaji Akinsanya while responding said he will continue to sensitize his members about the danger of carrying such illicit goods and services. 
” We know that some of our members do such in other to make quick money but that when the law catches up with such a person the end result is not good, such person goes to jail and the vehicle will be forfeited to the Government”, the NURTW boss stated.
At the end of the visit, the State Commander decorated the Chaiman with the lapel of War Against Drug Abuse and this signifies that the Chairman has become one of the Ambassadors of the crusade.
