Katsina Stands Still As Atiku Visits PDP Delegates

Katsina State was agog when the Presidential aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar landed with a former Governor of the state, Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema to address and seek the support of the party’s delegates in the state.   Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his entourage arrived Katsina at exactly 11:45 am where he addressed the delegates at the party’s headquarters in Katsina metropolis and later paid a homage on  Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua,  mother of his political mentor, late General Shehu Musa Yar’adua at Yar’adua quarters in the city.    Alhaji Atiku while addressing the delegates said he has mapped out five areas of concern for the country if elected  president. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who was described as a unifier by Katsina delegates, said when in office, he would address the issues of  insecurity, economy, unemployment,  education and poverty amongst others.
He reiterated the need for the delegates and all PDP faithful to support him to actualise his dreams for the betterment of the country.  He expressed happiness on the reception accorded  him by the party’s followers in the state,  assuring that, he would not be a failure to the people of Katsina State and the country at large.   Speakers at the event, such as a former Governor of Katsina State, Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema, Senator Abdul Ningi from Bauchi and the state’s acting chairman of the party, Honourable Salisu Lawal Uli, emphasized the need to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the next president of Nigeria based on his experience and knowledge.    Those at the event included, Chairman of the African Independent Television (AIT) Chief Raymond Dokpesi from Edo, Senator Baraka  from Kano, Adamu Maina Waziri from Yobe and Katsina State Gubernatorial aspirants such as Alhaji Salisu Yusuf Majigiri; Alhaji Ahmed Aminu Yar’adua and Alhaji Shehu Inuwa Imam, amongst others.
