Katsina State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has distributed relief materials to flood victims in Kusada Local Government Area of the state. Speaking during the distribution, the member representing Kusada at the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ghali Garba warned people against building on waterways and dumping refuse in drainages.
Alhaji Garba said the present All Progressives Congress (APC) administration under Governor Aminu Bello Masari constructed a lot of drainages and culverts across the state to avoid flooding during rainy season.
Alhaji Ghali Garba appealed to beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by supporting all policies and programmes of the present administration.
In a remark, Head of Kusada Local Administration, Alhaji Salisu Magaji Ingawa acknowledge the various empowerment and relief materials provided by the state government
Alhaji Salisu Magaji Ingawa appealed to wealthy individuals, political offices holders to complement Government’s effort in providing similar gesture to victims.
Also speaking, APC Chairman in the area Alhaji Saminu Sale Kunkawa said the APC Government is committed to improving the living conditions of the less privileged.
In a vote of thanks, Bebejin Katsina District Head of Kusada, Alhaji Nuhu Yashe who spoke through Galadiman Kusada Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima thanked the three tiers of Government for their concern towards the welfare of the less privileged.
Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima appealed to beneficiaries to make good use of the materials.
The items distributed include, one hundred and fifty bags of cement and fourteen bundles of roofing sheet, nails among others.
