Katsina Police Command Presents Cheques Worth Over N14m To Families Of Deceased Officers

Commissioner in charge of Katsina State Police Command, CP Idrisu Dabban Dauda has again on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Alkali Baba Usman presented cheques valued at fourteen million and six hundred thousand Naira (N14,600,000:00K) to families and next of kin of deceased police officers, who died while in active service in the state.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in change of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Katsina state Command, Baffa Magaji Jahun who presented the cheques on behalf  of the Commissioner, CP Idrisu Dabban Dauda said the gesture was part of the IGP Baba Usman’s Family Welfare Insurance Scheme being given to families of deceased Police Officers. 

The programme which took place at the Police Headquarters in Katsina, witnessed presentation of various cheques of different amounts to families and next of kin of eighteen (18) deceased police officers who died while in active service in the state.

 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Baffa Magaji Jahum appreciated the efforts of the Inspector-General of Police, for improving the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.

He enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for their betterment.  

One of the benefiting families, Abba Mainasara, spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries and thanked the Inspector-General of Police for the welfare package and promised to use the money judiciously.
