Katsina LGA Boss Frowns At Road Accidents Caused By Reckless Niger Republic Drivers

Zango Local Government Council of Katsina State has taken drastic measures on rampant accidents and breach of law in the area.

This followed a meeting  between the council’s chairman, Alhaji Babangida Ali Yardaje and stakeholders to find the lasting solution of the twin problems.

The meeting which was attended by Federal Road safety Corps (FRSC), Police, Immigration, Civil Defence, royal fathers, judges and other officials of the neighbouring Niger Republic, discussed fully on ways to stop the menace in the entire local government area.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman of Zango Local Government Council, Alhaji Babangida Ali Yardaje expressed concerns over the rampant accidents caused by motorists and motorcycle riders, especially coming from Niger Republic. 

Alhaji Babangida Yardaje said the accidents has led to the loss of many lives and serious Injuries to many people in the area. 

He pointed out that the local government council will not fold its arms and allow such attitudes to continue.

Alhaji Yardaje drew the attention of the security agents working in the area to be Vigiled and bring any body on reckless driving to the court of law for prosecution.

Alhaji Babangida Ali Yardaje noted that, “some motor cycles operators from Niger Republic were causing accidents, which leads to the death of many people in the area.”

Consequently, he dew the attention of Authorities of Niger Republic to mobilize their people on the dangers of reckless driving, which would not augur well to them.

In a remark, the unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in charge of Daura zone, ACD Yakubu Maina thanked the local government chairman for organizing the meeting and assured to do their best in reducing the accident in the area.

In a vote of thanks, the representative of Murkan Daura, district head of Zango, Galadiman Murka, Alhaji Ubale Sani said would give all necessary support to the resolutions of the meeting.
