*Introduces free medicare to victims of bandit attacks

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has received 35 abducted Persons rescued by troops of the Nigerian Army  recently kidnapped by armed bandits in Tashar Nagulle and Nahuta in Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohammed Kaula said in a statement, that the victims were rescued and handed over to the governor at the Katsina State Government House by the Commander, 17 Brigade of the Nigerian army, Brigadier General O.A. Fadairo.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Radda thanked the “Almighty Allah for rescuing the victims without any casualty from the security operatives or the hitherto abducted civilians.”

The governor maintained that success was being recorded in the fight against banditry and many terrorists in the state have been killed, with their camps dislodged and a lot of weapons recovered through the joint efforts of security operatives in the state.

While commending the efforts of the Army and other security operatives, Governor Radda reiterated that, his administration would deal with Persons ‘romancing’ with terrorists in the state.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda said the state government has also introduced free medicare to victims of bandit attacks, and allowances to security agencies, as well as educational support to those who lost their parents during violent attacks of terrorists.

Governor Radda donated “One hundred thousand (100,000) Naira  each to the 35 rescued persons for them to revive their normal business when they arrive home.”

Earlier, Brigadier General O.A Fadairo, said the victims were rescued at Dumburum Forest after an intensive gun battle between soldiers and the bandits.
