Katsîna Governor Raises Alarm Over Multiple Payment Of Salaries

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has raised alarm on the multiple payments of salaries to some local government staff in the state.
   Governor Umaru Radda made the disclosure during  an emergency meeting he held with Chairmen, heads of local government administration, treasurers and heads of personnel of the thirty four local government councils in the state at General Muhammadu (Government) House.
The Governor observed that, “there are some local government staff that work and earn salaries from more than one local government. such people are shield by some influential personalities within the structure of the local governments.”
 Governor Radda warmed that, “it is high time to stop such practice as such people earned money that do not belong to them.”
    He further disclosed that, previous administration’s had conducted Staff audit and verifications, hence “it is important for  local government concerned to know the existing, non existing workers and others who only show up during staff audits and disexisting.”
  Governor Dikko reiterated his     administration commitment to consider physical staff audit to have an up to date record of staff strength at the local governments in the state.
  The State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Faruq Lawal Jobe, Secretary to the Government of the state Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Chief of staff to the Governor, Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri and Principal Personal officer to the Governor Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji were amongst the Katsina state Government functionaries that attended the meeting which lasted several hours.
