All necessary arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of the implementation of Single Treasury Account (TSA) in the Katsina State Civil Service, Chairman of the implementation Committee, Alhaji Isyaku Muhammed has said.
Alhaji Muhammed who is also the Executive Chairman of Katsina state Board of Internal Revenue
told Journalists in Katsina that, the implementation would start from February 15, 2024 after a test trial.
Consequently, he said all funds meant for the state would be paid directly channels into the TSA. stressing that, a leading Bank in the country has been selected to take charge of the TSA host account.
Alhaji Isyaku Muhammed explained that, the Committee has been using the media to adequately sensitize members of the public on the advantages of the TSA.
According to him the Committee has equally visited Kano and Kaduna states to examine how they are operating the TSA and the problems encountered, so as to come up with the best TSA system in Katsina.
He reiterated that, the delay to implement TSA in Katsina last month was as a result of the careful procedure adopted to ensure salaries and other businesses of the governance are not tempered with.
