Sheka stressed that 25 different political parties participated in the election which shows that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria as it happened that another peaceful election was recorded in Kano.
He commended the Kano State Government for providing all the necessary support to KANSIEC for the conduct of the Saturday’s election as scheduled.
Clearing the air on the complaints about the delay of distribution of election materials, Professor Sheka said that: “The delay in distribution of materials as groaned by some citizens resulted from late arrival of some items that were brought from China on election day, but we have made everything available upon the arrival of the consignment.”
