Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani yesterday, inspected the Rabah Road extension construction site, assuring that construction work is set to resume without delay.

The 9.65km stretch from Rabah Road to Nnamdi Azikiwe Road (the Western By-pass), with a link to the Rigasa Train Station and underpass on Western bypass, is part of Kaduna Urban Renewal Project.

Governor Uba Sani who went on inspection of the road, said in an interview with Government House Press Crew, that the road is one of the most important roads, in the state’s urban renewal development drive.

According to him, “the road was started by the previous administration, unfortunately when we came in, there was a dispute between the Kaduna State Government and Nigerian Defence Academy, but today, I am happy to inform you that we have resolved all the problems,” he informed.

He said, “we started this conversation with my brother, the Commandant, he is a Kaduna boy, he was born in Kaduna, he lives in Kaduna, today he is a Commander, he is someone who is also key about the development of the state.

“Because of his effort and understanding we sat down together and we have resolved the issue and you can see today, the road is one of the most important roads in Kaduna, that links through Rabah Road, passing through NDA to Rigasa Train Station, up to the airport.”

He noted that, for the fact the road has been abandoned for almost a year, they resolved the issue and work has commenced.

He said the road will help and revitalise the economy of the people who live around there and by extension, the economy of the people who live within the local government areas.
