A New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship aspirant in Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Tijjani, has felicitated  the people of the state and Nigerians at the Easter celebrations.
He observed that the Easter period reminds every Nigerian of the need for people to make sacrifices for the maintenance of peace and unity for the overall development of the country.
In a personal Easter message he issued, the governorship aspirant stated that the season is a time Christians commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who gave his life for mankind and enjoined Nigerians to make sacrifices for the survival of the country.
“We sincerely need to be our brother’s keepers in all spheres of life for us to to be able to succeed as a nation because the Almighty so much blessed this country with human and material resources that if properly harnessed, NIgeria will be a pacesetter in all ramifications to the world.”
He added, “Nigeria will be a better place to live, if we sincerely work as a family irrespective of any differences. The security challenges we are facing today will surely be a thing of the past if we unite  and tell ourselves the truth of what we need to do in order to salvage this country.
“I sincerely believe that as the 2023 general elections is drawing nearer, we will firmly stand our grounds to elect leaders we believe will take us to the promised land and enjoy the dividends of democracy that we are supposed to.
“We should as a people, ensure that in 2023, we get it right at all levels of governance by electing credible leaders that have the people at heart and whose past records have demonstrated genuine and sincere love for the unity and development of the people they want to govern,” Ahmad Umar Tijjani opined.
He prayed that the Easter celebrations would usher Nigerians an opportunity to better understand themselves and come together in order to put things in proper perspectives for the benefit of humanity, while wishing Nigerians a joyous and happy celebration.
