The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Tuesday enjoined the Jama’a Foundation to always pray for the country’s leaders, to tackle challenges.

Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe  stated this when she received a delegation from Jama’a Foundation who were  on a courtesy visit to Government House in Kaduna.

Hadiza expressed appreciation to the foundation for the congratulatory messages they have delivered for all the appointees, as well as recommendations received.
She noted that,  “for the fact that you feel proud of the the things that we are doing,  we are happy to hear that, and always let us now when we are off track so that we can always get back in shape, I think it will help us to do better than what we are doing.”
According to her, “I see that quite a lot of the things that you  do involve human capital development,  maybe one or two things about infrastructure, but it is also part of help because you cannot have that element of help without that facility that you are building.

” I see you have taken up issues of drug abuse, you have taken up the issue of rape, issues about education and others.

“However, in Kaduna,  human capital development is the issue we take seriously, that is why we have somebody who is in charge  they need to support the government in terms of human capital development. “Aside that, we have four policy councils that look at issues of human capital development,  so we’re happy that you also have that component of human capital development which will now strongly impact on other things which government is doing. You know that government cannot be everywhere.”

She further said, “We’ve had from last year, quite a number of gender based violence issues reported during the lockdown. We heard quite a lot of that especially from Southern Kaduna. I want you to look at it, and see what we can do. It won’t speak well of us in  Southern Kaduna  if we keep having reports that gender based violence is higher in that zone than in others” .

The Deputy Governor said that they have engaged the local government, associations, religious and traditional leaders on the continuous voters registration.

“The only  way we can exercise our civil rights when it comes to voting,  is if we have that card, there are some people that move from one place to another and need to change their card, or some that have turned to eighteen after the last registration. Those are the kind of people that are encouraged to come out and register so that we can have everyone being registered,” she stressed.

She emphasized that,  Kaduna State is the third most populous place in Nigeria, but is far behind.

“We need to do much more  than what we are doing, that is why we are mobilising people to come out and actually do this registration,” she informed.

She thanked them for taking their time to honour them with their presence, praying that God will continue to strengthen the association  and government.

In her remarks, the  Chairman of the Jama’a Foundation, Bala Adamu, said they were in Government House  to commend the state government for the investments being made to provide infrastructure in the three major cities in the state, Kafanchan, Kaduna and Zaria.

Adamu also stated that they came to express gratitude to Kaduna State Government for inviting President Muhammadu Buhari to Kafanchan to commission some roads constructed under the urban renewal programme.
