The Jigawa State House of Assembly has  passed the 2022 appropriation bill into law.
Chairman of the  House Committee on Appropriation, Honourable Suleiman Musa Kadara read the committee’s report on the floor of the House after which  lawmakers unanimously approved the report, adopted and passed it into law.
During the Assembly seating, members of the gallery and  reporters were vividly surprised while others felt disappointed with  the actions of the Speaker, Rt. Honourable Idris Garba Kareka and the Clerk of the House, Malam Musa Aliyu Abubakar, who were sighted busy with their mobile phones.
Members of the gallery  observed through the actions and hand movement,  that the two principal officers, were either chatting, going through Facebook or playing games on their mobile phones.
This actions might not be unconnected to the quantum of the report sheets which looks so voluminous as it contained 20 pages while that of the 27 LGA’s were nine, making a total of 29 pages of both the state and LGA budget 2022 estimates
Though one of the members   quickly drew the attention  of the Speaker,  who immediately dropped his phone.
