A closed door meeting at the instance of Governor  Abubakar Badaru Mohammed with all the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirants to produce a consensus candidate amongst them has ended in deadlock.

Contacted through his spokesman, Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu stated, “I Hon. Farouk Aliyu will not and never succumb to the so-called consensus meeting, I have earlier said, for me I will never step down for anybody”.

Furthermore, Hon. Farouk added, “I will never attend any meetings with Badaru as he is not a man of his words, as he is  zigzag.”

Governor Badaru summoned the aspirants  who are nine in number to produce a consensus candidate amongst them ahead of the primary elections, slated for today.

Some of the aspirants present at the meeting included the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Namadi, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, and Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu.
