Jigawa APC Chieftains Shun  Inauguration Of 2023 Campaign Council

The Jigawa Chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated the 2023 campaign council without the presence of the state’s party heavy weights in attendance.
Reports  indicated that the gathering was poorly organized with the absence  of members of the State Executive Council, the state’s three elected Senator’s, and Reps, among other political appointees.
Investigations conducted by our reporter revealed that this might not be unconnected to the poor style of APC-led by Governor Badaru Abubakar.
It was gathered that one of the state’s elder statesmen who spoke on condition of anonymity,  said, “how can we waste our time listening to Badaru, who failed us and our state.”
On the inauguration of the campaign council, Governor Muhammadu Badaru vowed that, “the incoming government of ours will consolidate, and even triumph upon the success recorded by the present administration come 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
“The campaign train we are about floating, will be explicit and decorum in nature with a zeal to forge our state forward in line with APC cardinal objectives. We will adopt door to door campaign strategies, among others for our success.
“I being the chairman of the campaign council, we will do our best in ensuring our party the APC strives hard to retain Jigawa leadership,” he said.
Governor Badaru  said he is optimistic of the ruling party winning Jigawa for the simple fact that the party has done well for the people especially in areas of agricultural development, education, health and rural transformation.
He assured the people of the party’s desire to do more if given the mandate, adding that with the calibre and integrity of their candidates based on their track records, public experience and dedication, he is confident they will breakthrough.
Speaking, the DG Campaign Council and also a former SSG Jigawa State, Alh. Lawal Yau Roni, assured Governor Badaru of their readiness in working hard towards ensuring APC’s victory at all levels.
The inaugurated campaign council is headed by Governor Badaru Abubakar and his deputy, who is the party’s flagbearer as deputy.
 Others include Lawal Yau Roni, DG Campaign Council, Alh Isa Gerawa, Alh. Ali Saadu, Alh Bello Maitama Yusuf, among Other’s.
In a related development, the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, to Jigawa State,  CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot has enjoined politicians across the state to be orderly, and of patriotic zeal in the course of their politicking, as well as stick to the doctrine of “Peace Accord” during and after general elections as they signed to uphold.
Ekot warned that the police will not allow rudeness, and breach of law and order during and after elections period from the part of any politicians no matter how highly placed, stressing that the police is ever ready to deal ruthlessly with any erring politician who  is found wanting or violates the tenets of the country’s laws.
Speaking while on courtesy visit to member’s of the Jigawa State Correspondent Chapel of the NUJ, the CP was quoted as saying, ” it is a well known fact that without adequate and balanced reporting and information flow, there won’t be progress, hence, I felt duty bound to be with you today and seek your support, and cooperation, assuring together we shall succeed.”
At NTA, and Radio Jigawa, the new CP said media has a vital role to play in enlightening the public on the activities of the police and other security agencies to ensure the maintenance of peace and progress in the society.
He reaffirmed  his commitment to make Jigawa a crime free state, hence the need for all hands must be  on deck to achieve the desired objectives.
Responding, the MD’s of the two broadcast media in the state  assured the  Commissioner of Police of full support in providing free airtime to the Police force to disseminate its activities as part of their corporate social responsibility to society.
