Jema’a LG Reiterates Commitment to Improved Healthcare Service Delivery

Jema’a Local Government Council has reiterated commitment to improve healthcare system in the area with a view to enhancing better service delivery to the grassroot.
The council chairman, Mr. Yunana Markus Barde disclosed this while flagging off the integrated campaign against polio virus, measles and meningitis including COVID-19 and other diseases in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
Comrade Yunana Markus Barde urged parents especially women to always present their children for the vaccination in order to secure them against the killer diseases.
He thanked the health personnel in the area for their commitment to duty and encouraged them to be proactive especially in the face of the CoronaVirus Pandemic.
Also speaking, the Health Secretary of the local government, Dr Mcderi Ayuba said all arrangements to ensure a successful integrated campaign exercise have been concluded and urged the traditional and religious leaders to help sensitize their subjects especially women on the need to support the exercise.
On his part, the State Technical Facilitator, Jema’a local government area, Mr. Samson Dangana explained that the exercise was not only targeted on polio but also cut across COVID-19, meningitis, and Measles amongst other health challenges bedevelling the area.
Mr. Dangana assured that all the vaccines have been certified safe with no any effect on their health.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers in the area, the representative of Agwam Zikpak and District Head Kafanchan Kewaye, Mr Sa’idu Umaru commended the state and Jema’a local government for their giant strides in the area of Health-Care, and promised their continued support to all government activities in the area.
High point at the occasion included the administration of Oral Polio Vaccine to the children by the Jema’a Local Government Area chairman and other dignitaries at the event.
