Jama’atu Nasrul Yatama: 17 Glorious Years Of Philanthropy To Orphans In Kudan Community.

For 17 years now, Jama’atu Nasrul Yatama Orphanage Service, Kudan, a non governmental organization has been putting smiles on the faces of orphans, especially during Ramadan fasting season with foodstuff, clothings and other basic needs.

With all the challenges members of Executive Committee of this great association face they stand on their feet in ensuring sustainability of the noble project of caring for orphans.

The major challenge before concerned people of Kudan with interest of these kids at hearts is mobilization of resources to fund education of these orphans who got admitted into tertiary institutions.

It is the wish of prominent members of the Kudan community to be part of the success story of the organization by contributing their quota into this philanthropic gesture to supplement the job of the committee.

Members of the committee, realizing the importance of joint and collective efforts did not relent in reaching out to donors to ensure continuity of the good work which has flourished in the past 17 years making life worthwhile for orphans who are primary targets of the committee.
The members will only match their integrity and seasoned disposition with the expectations of this Clarion call of service to humanity through passion, compassion and zeal to impact lives positively.

As a committee of patriotic citizens of Kudan and its environs who are poised to resuscitating a moribund essential community for people, you’re without doubt, the best of the people in this wonderful community as emphasized by a prophetic tradition which says: the best among people is one from whom much benefit is derived.

The Committee Secretary, Malam Adamu Muhammad Kudan said, “we are now focused on skills acquisition, training, on education both Islamic and Western, in addition to the distribution of foodstuff and cloths for Ramadan and Sallah festivities, health-care among others to the orphans.

He highlights some challenges facing the committee to include; paucity of funds, lack of healthcare facilities to attend medical needs of the orphans in the area.

In his lecture, Dr Mu’azu Sa’adu Kudan emphasized the importance of assisting orphans at all levels.
Dr. Kudan advised people to always support and assist the orphans to have a life similar or even better than children with parents.

It is worthy of mention here the basketful of gratitude from beneficiaries – orphans and widows to organisers for putting similes on their faces during this festive period.

”I am a widow and doing petty trading to enable me look after the orphans under my costody. This support would ameliorate the hard times we are going through, ” a beneficiary said.

These past 17 years of the existence of the foundation have been golden so to say considering the many positive impacts it has made on lives of orphans within the community: school fees paid, vocations enabled, shelters provided etc.

It is in this light, the Kudan orphanage committee is extending hands of fellowship to well meanig individuals as well as corporate organizations to support them by contributing towards assisting the orphans.
