*threatens to sack political appointees over poor PVC registration in Ebonyi

Ahead of 2023 general elections, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state said Ebonyians will not support labor party because Ebonyi is APC state and also threatened to sack political appointees whose local Government areas record poor registration of voters.
The governor who is not visibly happy with the outcome of the just concluded APC Presidential Primaries stated that the only bargaining power remaining is to ensure that greater number of Ebonyians have their PVCs to ready for the fourth coming general elections saying Ebonyi State Cannever support labor party and if anybody questions the rationale behind that,let him ask the person wether they supported the Igbo Presidential ambition during the APC Primaries.
He regretted that the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo failed to galvanized opinion, making a statement towards Igbo Presidency which undermine the level of support gotten by candidates from South East during the election.
He added that his major focus now is Ebonyi agenda and has no business with Ohaneze.
The governor also used the opportunity at the EXCO to appoint new head of service,Dr.Mrs.Rita Mary Okoro and five new Commissioners to fill the vacant positions created in the EXCO as a result of the resignation of some EXCO members to contest elective positions in the 2023 general elections.
The executive council meeting which took place at new Government House was attended by EXCO members, traditional rulers, religious leaders and party stalwarts.
