The Jigawa State Chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria  (AFAN) was one of the non-governmental associations that stole the show at the recent campaign rally in the state with full determination.

The association under the leadership of Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga, remained in support of continuity at both the presidency and Jigawa State for agricultural transformation that would translate to more profitable farming.

Speaking  about the eligibility of the Jigawa  State governorship candidate, at Dutse Emir’s Palace, Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga told the reporters that continuity is the best option in  the state, because the APC candidate, Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi is a trusted person who shows that he would lead with his best ability.

“We are of the opinion that Dan Modi would continue from where his Excellency, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar would stop, and our hope is to ensure that farmers benefit from the agricultural transformation agenda that he has unveiled as his governance policies,” he stressed.

Mai Unguwa Jaga thanked the entire Jigawa farmers for supporting his leadership and promised even stewardship.

He prayed for a peaceful and hitch-free conduct of February 25 and  March 11 general elections.
