More details have emerged on how 21 passengers, said to be tourists, perished in Italy.
Authorities in Italian city of Venice have put the number of casualties at 21 in a Tuesday night carnage involving a tourist bus.
Eye witnesses said the bus conveying mostly tourists plunged over bridge and caught fire on impact against surface of the underlying carriage highways.
Causes of the accident could not be immediately ascertained as the bus, according to local authorities in Venice, was new and the road leading from island to mainland districts had not been an issue for a very long time.
Ukrainian and German citizens, including two children were among the dead.
Italian prime minister and mayor of the ancient city of Venice, have since expressed sadness over the event, many described as modern apocalypse.
Public prosecutors in the city have immediately launched investigations into the accident as families of the victims await result.
