Hajj: Be Good Ambassadors, Deputy Governor Tasks Kaduna Pilgrims

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe has urged the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole. 

Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, alongside the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Sani Liman and other senior government officials were at the Kaduna International Airport at the weekend, to bid farewell to the first batch of 390 intending pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Hajj.

She also addressed the pilgrims to obey Saudi Arabiaā€™s laws and all regulations of the Hajj.

Dr. Balarabe urged them to offer prayers for the new administration of Senator Uba Sani and for the peace and prosperity of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

On his part, the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Arigasiwu stated that 6,487 persons from Kaduna State will be performing this year’s Hajj exercise, the highest number in the country. 

He added that Kaduna State Government has made adequate arrangements for the welfare of the pilgrims in the Holy land.

The commencement of the airlift was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness, Ambassador Nuhu Ahmed Bamali, who is also the leader of Kaduna State delegation for the 2023 Hajj exercise.
