Receiving the award Mrs. Adediran while explaining the reason for the HFN, thanked the association for the award and promised to do her best in bringing succour to patients with Haemophilia.
“We have partners that help in the provision of factors (drugs used by patients with Haemophilia to live normal lives). The HFN was founded by me when I discovered that my son has the blood disorder, and since then we have tried to help these patients lead normal lives.”
According to her, the HFN is currently working with government to add Haemophilia to their Non-communicable Diseases Policy since it’s now aware of the existence of the disorder.
“The HFN is open to all in terms of assistance and contributions. The disorder has no cure and it’s inherited though 30 per cent can occur in families without history.”
