Group Backs Wase For Reps  Speaker

Conference of All Progressives Congress Equity and Justice Forum in the North/Central of Nigeria, has canvassed support for the emergence of Hon Idris Ahmed Wase, the Deputy Speaker of the 9th Assembly, to emerge  Speaker 0f the 10th House of Representatives.

Addressing a press confereqnce in Jos  at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), chairman of the group, Nuhu Ayuba Shikdima and the National secretary, Alh Amadu Babanrabi said. Wase has the needed experience fo the the speakership position.

They explained that the forum which is being guided by the ideals of national character, solicit for the understanding and support of other geopolitical zones.

They described Wase as an astute politician, a detribalised Nigerian and technocrat per excellent, who will bring his experience to bear in the next Assembly.

‘ As a loyal member of the APC, we are poised to humbly appeal to conscience of our party leadership which are the national executive of our great party and the national working committee of APC to consider the man Ahmed Wase for the leadership of the Green Chamber of the  National Assembly,” they appealed.

According to to them, Wase as a two-term chairman, House Committee on Federal Character in the 7th and 8th Assembly, a one time Deputy Majority Leader  of the House of Representatives.
