Governor Inuwa Mourns Ambassador Yusuf Jonga

Gombe State Governor,  Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with the family of the late Ambassador Yusuf Jonga Hinna over the death of the diplomat and retired senior naval officer.  

According toma statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, dated Wednesday February 22, Ambassador Jonga died recently in Kaduna after a brief illness.  

In a message of condolence,  Governor Inuwa described the late former Ambassador to Italy as a fine gentleman and outstanding personality who carried out his military and diplomatic duties with a deep sense of patriotism and dedication.​

“We have indeed lost a great man, a diplomat per excellence, who made great marks in his service to the nation. Even after active service, he continued to offer useful counsel that  helped in the  development of our dear state and nation. Gombe State has indeed lost an illustrious son”. 

He urged the deceased’s family to take solace in the fact that the late Ambassador Yusuf Jonga lived a great life of service to God and humanity, and positively impacted many lives leaving behind a good name.

The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his associates as well as the people of Yamaltu Emirate,  praying Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
