Gov Diri Inducts NIS Comptroller Into Bayelsa State Security Council

The new Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Bayelsa State Command James Sunday has been accepted into the State Security Council by the State Governor Sen. Douye Diri.

This was disclosure was made in a release by the Command’s public relations officer, made available to journalists at the weekend.
According to the release, the induction exercise was performed  during the monthly Security Meeting held on Friday, chaired by Governor Diri, at the Government House, Yenagoa, where he introduced the new Comptroller.
The release stated that the State government and the entire members of the State Security Council welcome and extend their goodwill and arm of Comradeship to the Comptroller.
The Comptroller pledged his loyalty to the Federal and State government and assured of a renewed efforts in curbing Immigration related issues ranging from Human and Child Trafficking,Smuggling of Migrants,and  deliverables for an enhanced Blue Economy with attendant growth of Investment by the locals and Foreign Investors.
According to the release, the renewed efforts would thereby  make Bayelsa State a most preferred destination for Investment,Ease of doing Business, Tourism and Hospitality,while keeping safe operation in the waterways by the NIS operatives on land and on the waterways alongside other Security and response agencies in Bayelsa.
It would be noted that the event was the first official engagement of the Comptroller in Bayelsa State.
