Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state on Tuesday began a state wide tour to inspect projects recently completed or ongoing in all the twenty-five local government areas of the state.
The inspection tour which is in phases, is to begin from the Niger Zone ‘C’ District where the Governor hails from.
Beginning from Wushishi local government area where the Governor commissioned a health clinic, some Primary Schools and boreholes for portable water supply, the Governor is expected to use the tour to drum up support for his administration.
The tour is expected to avail the Governor the opportunity to directly interact with the people at the grassroot on his administration’s policies, programmes and projects and as well provide the government with the platform to gauge public perception and to sift public inputs into governance for enhanced service delivery to the citizens.
The itinerary of the tour comfirmed that the second leg of the Governor’s tour will take him to Rafi local government area on Wednesday while Mariga local government is expected to host the Governor on Thursday.
Rijau local government area would receive the Governor on Friday according to the official statement from the spokesman of the Governor.
This is the first time the Governor would be going round the state on projects inspection since assuming office in May 2015.
Governor Bello had earlier said his administration would only give primacy to complete those projects initiated by past administrations which would add further value to the lives of the citizens only
