The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos Council has been commended by the General Manager of Radio Lagos/ Eko FM, Mr Jide Lawal for its professionalism.
Lawal gave the commendation during a courtesy visit embarked upon to the Station by the executive members of Lagos NUJ led by the Chairman, Mr. Adeleye Ajayi.
“I want to specially commend Mr Adeleye Ajayi for his purposeful leadership. I know where the union was before he took over and I know what it is now.
“This administration has done well in all ramifications but there’s always an improvement opportunity, saying that the reward of hardwork is more work.
“I also want to extend my appreciation to other members of the executive because the Chairman couldn’t have done it all alone.
“I urge the Chairman to keep the flag flying. The re-training of members as was done during the Google tools partnership with NUJ was paramount in harnessing members’ skills,” he said.
The Media expert equally gave assurance of a continued support and collaboration with the Union towards achieving its mandate.
Meanwhile, the Lagos NUJ Chairman Mr Adeleye Ajayi has congratulated Mr. Jide Lawal on his recent appointment as the newly- appointed General Manager of Radio Lagos/ Eko FM.
“We are here to congratulate you for a well deserved appointment and we wish you a successful term of office.
“Your track records are laudable and they speak volume of your professionalism,” Ajayi said.
The NUJ Chairman, who presented the achievements of his exco in the last one year in office, equally gave assurance of taking the union to greater heights under his watch.
Management staff of Eko FM present included Mr. Yomi Oyebade, Director Languages; Mrs Modupeola Adagun, Director of Programmes; Mr. Kayode Adumadeyin, Director Marketing; Mr.Kola Oreniyi Director, Adminstration; Mr.Adedeji of the Accounts Department; and Mr. Akin Faji, Chapel Chairman of Radio Lagos/ Eko FM.
All executive members of Lagos NUJ were also present.
