Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title holders, Enyimba International FC of Aba bounced back from their previous poor performances to trounce compatriots Warri Wolves 2-0 in their last match of the first stanza of the Glo Super Four decided on Sunday night at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Enyimba’s first goal came courtesy of Christian Pyagbara, and Andrew Abalagu drove home the second, ending the Aba  lads’ goal drought in Kaduna.

Earlier in the first match played, Nasarawa United failed to beat Akwa United as both teams showed equal strength, ending the encounter in a goalless draw.

As it stands, Nasarawa United top the table with five points from three matches played.

Enyimba with four points place second with advantage of superior goals over Akwa United who are third also on four points after winning a match, drawing one and losing one.

All eyes will now be positioned towards Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where the second stanza of the Super Four will be taking place, before the overall winner will emerge.

The Super Four is a pre-season tournament organized by the League Management Company (LMC) to prepare Nigeria’s representatives at the continental level for the challenges ahead.

It is sponsored by Globacom, who are also the sponsors of the NPFL.
